The Republic of Moldova is currently attracting more public interest. At the same time, however, little is known in Germany about this south-eastern European country. Andrea Diefenbach’s photographs tell the story of a country and its people caught between awakening and pause. The book and Realitatea <\/em>pictures presentation with Andrea Diefenbach was accompanied by a round table discussion focusing on questions such as: What path is Moldova taking, given its chequered history, and in light of the current Russian war against Ukraine? What determines people’s everyday lives, and how do they view the future of their country? <\/p>\n
