From 13 to 20 June 2026, young people from Germany and Armenia gathered in Arzni, Armenia, as part of the ‘Youth Voices for Climate Dialogue’ project. This youth project took place ahead of the 17th UN Biodiversity Conference (COP17), which is set to take place in Yerevan this autumn.
Over the course of a week, the participants explored topics such as climate diplomacy, biodiversity and the COP process. Together, they discussed the role of young people in international environmental negotiations, and how they can bring their perspectives and ideas to the forefront of international environmental and biodiversity dialogue.
Alongside engaging workshops and discussion sessions, the exchange provided valuable opportunities for new perspectives, networking and intercultural exchange.
Thank you to all the participants for their commitment and valuable contributions!
The youth exchange took place in collaboration with the Yeghvard Youth Ecological NGO. It was kindly supported by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
