How do people in Central Asia view their own region, and how do we perceive it from a European perspective? In early October, we dedicated our conference “Looking to Central Asia – and Back” to exactly these questions. Together with the Evangelische Akademie Sachsen-Anhalt e.V., we met in Lutherstadt Wittenberg to discuss culture, politics, and civil society in Central Asia.

For those who could not attend, there is now an opportunity to listen to an expert perspective: Dr. Birgit Wetzel, a Central Asia expert and member of the Board of Trustees of the Stiftung West-Östliche Begegnungen, conducted interviews with the speakers.
