In early October, experts, volunteers, and interested participants gathered in Lutherstadt Wittenberg for the conference “Looking to Central Asia – and Back,” organized by the Stiftung West-Östliche Begegnungen together with the Evangelische Akademie Sachsen-Anhalt e.V. The focus was on developments in Central Asia between tradition and new beginnings.
Dr. Birgit Wetzel, an expert on Central Asia and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Stiftung West-Östliche Begegnungen, spoke afterwards with the speakers.
