Where classical music meets fashion! Yesterday, the West-Eastern Encounters Foundation was invited to a special cultural evening: Entitled ‘ALA TOO – Symphony of the Mountains’, the event featured music, fashion and art.

It began with a warm welcome from the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic, H.E. Mr Omurbek Tekebaev, followed by Lukas Sieper, Member of the European Parliament, who also said a few words.

The focus of the evening was the fascinating yet endangered mountain world of Kyrgyzstan. It was an urgent appeal to preserve the beauty and fragility of this landscape in the face of climate change.

The musical programme included classical pieces such as ‘Esimde’ by Atay Ogonbaev, performed by Zaira Raimbekova and Orozbek Bakytov, and Claude Debussy’s ‘Jardins sous la pluie’, performed by Akak Osmonova.

A fashion show rounded off the programme, with designers Jumagul Sarieva (CHAPANSAR Studio) and Nazgul Kaarova (KESHTE) showcasing creations that bridge the gap between tradition, romanticism and contemporary aesthetics.

Many thanks to Kunduz Kachieva, the initiator and organiser of the event, for the invitation and the opportunity for intercultural exchange!
