Call for participants: „Hyperpolarisaation in Europe: looking back, thinking ahead“

The West-Eastern Encounters Foundation is a cooperation partner of this year’s Europe Lab and warmly invites you to apply for the upcoming edition taking place from 11 to 15 August 2025 in Weimar, Germany.

This year’s Europe Lab (11–15 August 2025 in Weimar, Germany) brings together young professionals from across wider Europe to explore the theme „Hyperpolarisation in Europe: looking back, thinking ahead.“ Participants will engage in one of three thematic streams focused on pluralist democracy and the far right, climate change policies and backlash, or historical and present-day persecution and prejudice. The Lab combines expert input with collaborative project development and local memory work, aiming to foster critical dialogue and cross-cultural exchange.

What is Europe Lab?

Europe Lab, started by CSF in 2015, is an annual event and a platform for professional networking and cooperation for students, young professionals and young change-makers in their 20s and 30s from Wider Europe. The platform brings together over 300 young people from 30 countries, working in NGOs, grassroots organising, public administration, academia, business, etc. Since 2015 the lab travelled to Lithuania, Croatia and Poland, Romania, Netherlands and the border between Italy and Slovenia.
